About
A veteran designer in the Software and Web 2.0 industries, Drew has shaped world-class user experiences for leading brands and organizations across multiple channels and mediums. He has helped drive creative and user-centric eBusiness excellence on capital accounts and world-class systems, and is at his best leading teams to conceptualize both the nature of a problem and its solution. He’s helped companies evolve their thought leadership and internal processes to ensure products are supported and improved upon too. Drew’s goal is to create and facilitate truly memorable, immersive and enjoyable software experiences for end users.
As a past Senior Product Designer at Open Text, Drew worked with both customers and internal stakeholders from the Innovation and Product Groups, to understand both business and user needs, and to fuse them into best-in-class product experiences. Drew has served as Open Text’s ECM Suite Design Lead, with a special focus on collaboration and social media. He was also the community designer of Accelerating Adoption, an innovative new channel to discuss software adoption issues more intimately with customers and partners, and help increase the business value customers get from their software investments.
Before joining Open Text, Drew helped design 3D visualization frameworks and applications with two innovative software companies in Toronto, specializing in Military (Command and Control), Emergency Management, Case Management and Healthcare verticals. Prior to that, Drew consulted under his own company’s banner, Dreaming Entirely Inc., as a User Experience Architect/Interaction Designer working for a variety of top Internet design studios, ad agencies, consultancies, and professional services organizations in the greater Toronto area, and occasionally beyond.
